Enter Competition
The 2020 UK Hanson Box includes four competitions that are intended to encourage students’ enthusiasm for using the resources that we provide. The competitions are:
- A creative drawing competition for students aged 5-7 years old (school years 1-2). For instructions, information on prizes we will award and to submit entries, please click the link below. Competition closes, December 21st, 2020. Winners will be announced in January2021.
- An essay writing competition for students aged 7-11 (school years 3-6). For instructions, information on prizes we will award and to submit entries, please click the link below. Competition closes, December 21st, 2020. Winners will be announced in January 2021.
- An insect hotel design competition. Post a photo of your school’s completed insect hotel on our Facebook page (search ‘Don Hanson Charitable Foundation’). £250 prizes will be awarded to ten winning schools with the best insect hotel designs! Schools must be registered to receive the 2021 Hanson Box (request via this website). Competition closes on December 31st, 2020. Winners will be announced in January 2021.
- Whacky bean challenge! Take photos of the weird and wonderful bean plants you grow from the bean seeds enclosed in the 2020 Hanson Box! Post your photos on our Facebook page (search ‘Don Hanson Charitable Foundation’). The whackier the resulting bean plants, the better! Over 2021, we will issue prizes for the most weird and wonderful bean stalks that are grown! Schools must be registered to receive the 2021 Hanson Box (request via this website). Competition closes on December 31st, 2021.
