CREATIVE DRAWING
Students aged 5-7
Competition Task: Examine the animals and plants depicted in the Australia’s Amazing Islands book in your resource box.
Draw your favourite animal or plant from an Australian Island. It can be any species you like (including marine life)!
Annotate your drawing, describing your animal or plant. Does it have claws, teeth, flowers? Where does it live, what does it eat, what adaptations does it have and why? The more descriptive your drawing, the better!
The judges were really impressed by the calibre of enters in this year’s competition. After reviewing the hundreds of entries, the following were awarded prizes:
